Speaking Japanese
A couple of years ago I did some concerts in Japan and I decided to sing all the songs in Japanese. So I learned them phonetically and it took a couple of months but I was pretty proud of myself. Then after the first concert the Japanese promoter came back stage and said: "Excuse me, pardon me, but you speak English really well. But excuse me, pardon me, in Japanese you have a quite bad stutter." I couldn't believe it. Later I discovered that the guy who had made the casette for me to copy had a really bad st-st-stutter and I copied everything perfectly, carefully noting that this particular word was "ts ts tsuru" and this other one "ts-TZ ts tsuru". Anyway, it was impossible to unlearn the s-s-ongs because the st-stuttering had became so much p-p-part of the rrrhytm of m-my music.
